The growing military friction between Pakistan and India has spread shock waves in the rest of the world with former Pakistan Army personnel blowing whistles in alarms. Pakistani retired army generals warned their chief general, Asim Munir, of an imminent war with India, noting it would not be a cakewalk against the Pakistan army.

India's Military Power: An ominous threat for Pakistan

As per the views of ex-Air Marshal Masood Akhtar, the military might of Pakistan is considerably weaker than India's. At 1.6 million personnel, India's army strength makes Pakistan's army of 600,000 insignificant in comparison. Masood Akhtar's indications are dire: "Things are not good. We have no answer to this, and the situation is worsening day by day."

US and China: The Only Ones Who Can Stop the War?

In a frank confession, Masood Akhtar expressed that India and Pakistan tensions would never decrease without US and Chinese pressure. He asserted that these two world powers are the only entities capable of applying sufficient pressure on India so that the situation may not further escalate.

Fear of India's Action Grips Pakistan

The fear of military action from India has held Pakistan in its grip ever since India's Operation Sindoor was launched on May 6. The Indian Army's attack on nine terror camps located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Punjab sent shivers across the border. Indian missiles targeting cities such as Bahawalpur are giving Pakistanis a bad hair day, and the military is cautioning against embarking on the route of going to war with India.

Aggressive Language, Weak Resolve

Although Pakistani politicians and soldiers have been cautioned by former soldiers, they keep using threatening words. Nevertheless, their determination looks shaky, and it's evident that they are attempting to bluff their way through this crisis.

A War That Could Have Far-Reaching Consequences

The possibility of a war between India and Pakistan is one that sends shivers down the spines of all, with repercussions across the region and the globe. As tensions rise further, there's no doubt that diplomacy and restraint are more necessary now than ever before.
